13U  NPF 29 LONDONDERRY 20

Sunday, August 25th, 2019.  Nashua PAL Force 13U football team traveled to take on the Londonderry Wildcats for their gridiron season opener. The teams battled through the first half and PAL Force had one touchdown by John Barry Jr (35) but found themselves down 20-8 at the half.  A spirited half-time pep talk by the coaches and captains proved to be the motivating factor for the team to hold Londonderry to a shutout in the second half.  The scoring was led by Johnny Barry Jr (35) who scored two more touchdowns and Johnathan Torres (23) scoring one touchdown topped off by two PATs by Steven Rosario (34).  Adding to the intensity of the game, Gavin Adkinson (85) had a key interception and Armany Richiez had a strip and a fumble recovery which were both important turnovers at critical times in the game.  The second half scoring was supported by the PAL ‘ForceField' defense which held Londonderry to 21 unanswered points and kept the Wildcats from getting any momentum for the remainder of the game.
